My love of animals formed while growing up on a dairy farm in Watertown.  I also worked at a local veterinary clinic during high school, which helped me decide this was the profession for me.  I’ve always been interested in the emotional bond we form with our animal friends, yet love the scientific and analytical aspects of the profession as well.

I earned my degree as a Veterinary Technician from MATC-Madison and passed the Wisconsin licensing exam in 1989.  I’ve been at CCVC since just prior to graduation.  In the fall of 2010, I accepted the official title of Practice Manager.

In my time away from the clinic, cooking, gardening, and trying to keep up with my daughter and husband keep me more than busy.  Our pets include a Weimaraner (Pippa), a little dog named Mitsy, and two cats (Stupey and Sweet Pea).

Additionally, I have a strong interest in sharing my technician knowledge and started teaching part-time at MATC-Madison in the Veterinary Technician Program in 2008.  It has been very enjoyable to share my knowledge and experience.
