C. David Gerber, D.V.M., Retired

Gerber

I graduated from Purdue University in 1976, moved to Columbus, and began practice with the Columbus Veterinary Hospital working with farm animals, horses, and companion animals.  In 1987, I founded the Columbus Countryside Veterinary Clinic, which remained a mixed-animal practice.

Since 1996, my concentration has been working with companion animals.  In 2000, the clinic switched to solely providing care to companion animals.  I have a special interest in orthopedic surgery and being attentive to alternative therapies that enhance the well-being of our patients.

I’m married, have four grown children, and eleven grandchildren.  In my spare time, I enjoy tennis, camping, canoeing, and of course, spending time with our fabulous grandchildren.

Over the years I have enjoyed being part of the lives of a multitude of pets including dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, sheep, snakes, and rescue animals, including birds of prey.  I currently share our home with our cats, Bentley and Gabby.
